Barking Up The Right Tree

“FOllow Your bliss”

Many Years Ago…

My friend and mentor, Jimmy G., quoted Joseph Campbell to me. He said, “Follow your bliss.” When I first heard that, I had no idea what the word bliss meant. At that time, I only knew what the word surviving meant. So Jimmy offered this instead; he said, “do what you love, and in turn, you will always love what you do!”

To this day, those words have carried me…

Jimmy’s words have made the best moments of my life even better. They have made time fly, even against my wishes. Most important, they’ve brought peace and happiness, and even bliss, to the life I was unable to imagine back then.

I have been grooming dogs for over 30 years. Early on, I entered a Scissoring Competition and received accolades. As I built a clientele, those accolades manifested into recognitions and acknowledgements of the high level of skill I was demonstrating in my craft. At the time however, I was unable to recognize what people were seeing in me. I simply knew that I really enjoyed what I was doing.

This was the beginning of finding My Bliss…

Along the way, I had found My Bliss in working with other mediums like wood, glass, charcoal, and intuitive readings. It feels good when I exercise my creative energy to transform these earthly materials into pieces of artwork. Using my intuition, I can tap into experience, wisdom, and knowledge beyond what I’ve gathered along the way and share it with others. When the opportunity presents itself, I enjoy Being a clearing for Others’ visions and creations. As we are all made of energy, I’m learning to better understand and recognize that by using that energy, I can focus in on aligning with My Bliss.

Today, I do many things and I find love in all that I do when I follow my gut. I find My Bliss in creating possibilities not only for myself but mostly for others.

I live by the motto “anything is possible”

Bottom line, I love to create!!

This is me,
